About us
Our history
Our story dates back to 1943 when Gunnar Gustafsson founded Hovslätts Träindustri outside Jönköping, Sweden. His vision was to create functional and durable household products, and over time, the company has grown to become one of Northern Europe’s leading players in our field.
In the 1950s, Hovslätts Träindustri evolved into what is now Rörets Industrier, and our product range expanded. We began producing ironing boards and drying racks in wood—two items that would later become our signature products. When steel tubing entered the industry, the company experienced significant growth, a path we continue on today. By combining ergonomics, design, and durability, our ironing boards quickly became a staple in homes across the Nordic region.
During the 1980s and 1990s, we continued to broaden our product range, and in 1996, we moved production from Jönköping to Pniewy, near Poznań, Poland. Today, our manufacturing is concentrated within an area of approximately 11,000 m², from which we distribute products to Scandinavia, Europe, and beyond. Thanks to modern, automated production lines, we can meet customer demands, follow trends, and introduce well-thought-out, carefully developed products to the market. Great care is taken in material selection, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility. Additionally, product design plays a crucial role—patterns, shapes, and colors are elements we carefully refine, as our goal is for our products to become a natural part of every home.
In 2003, we were acquired by the renowned Finnish company Sinituote Oy, known for its high-quality cleaning products. This partnership has allowed us to expand our expertise, combining our knowledge in both cleaning and garment care. We are proud to be part of the Sini Group, where we continue to grow and develop innovative products.
Today, we are a modern company firmly rooted in our rich history. Our products are sold worldwide, and with a strong tradition of quality and innovation, we continue to design and manufacture products that make everyday tasks easier and more enjoyable. We hope you’ll continue to follow us on our journey forward!

Social commitments
Most of the world’s children do not have it as good as ours. The most basic necessities are often what are most lacking. For us at Rörets, it is a given to contribute in many different ways and through various organizations. Helping others may provide a certain insight into what it’s like to lack clean water, food, shelter, and medicine. Below, you can read more about the different ways we try to make a difference.

SINI Hargushay Primary School
Our parent company, Sinituote Oy, has built the SINI School in the village of Harghushay in northern Tanzania. In close collaboration with the village, they support the school and its over 500 students.
Radiohjälpen – Världens Barn (Children of the World)
The foundation of Världens Barn is the belief that all children have the right to health, education, and safety. Radiohjälpen Världens Barn continuously works to improve conditions for children living in vulnerable situations, focusing specifically on health, education, and safety. When children have good health, access to education, and live in safety, their chances of a brighter future increase significantly.
Instead of traditional Christmas gifts for our customers, we at Rörets have, for many years, chosen to donate a Christmas gift to the Radiohjälpen Världens Barn organization.
We hope that, in this way, we have helped at least one child regain their joy for life.
The Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden)
We at Rörets Industrier are proud to be a corporate friend of the Swedish Cancer Society. Through an annual donation, we contribute to the fight against cancer. We believe that our commitment makes a difference!

Our environment
Our optimism about the world and the environment remains strong, even though the challenges are significant. We strive to do the best we can in the circumstances we live and operate in. Every small decision is crucial for driving change and making a difference.
We take our environmental responsibility seriously, both in big and small ways—whether it’s through material choices, transportation, or production. By doing our best, we hope to inspire you to do the same.
